Community Development and Youth Advocacy
The IMPACT Service Break Trip to Hartwell works with many nonprofits that benefit citizens of all ages in the Hartwell community.
Hartwell was named as Georgia’s Outstanding Community Transformation in 2023! This city of about 4,480 people is the seat of Hart County. It touches Lake Hartwell on the border of Georgia and South Carolina, and was named for Nancy Hart, a Revolutionary War hero.
Dahlonega, Georgia
Community Wellness
This Fall Break Trip focuses on Community Wellness, pairing UGA students with local nonprofit organizations to ensure our work is benefiting needs that the community has identified.
Dahlonega, Georgia was recently named one of the best small towns in America! As the seat of Lumpkin County, Dahlonega has a population of about 6,800 citizens. It is the historic home of the University of North Georgia, which now has campuses across the northeast of the state.
