Dawg Day of Service is UGA’s largest day of service, where you can serve and engage with nonprofits from Athens-Clarke County, Madison County, and Oconee County to work together with local community organizations to create a better future.
Through Dawg Day of Service, you will be matched to a local nonprofit which serves our community. This is a great way for new and returning students to learn more about the place where we live. Serve UGA & ELS work with nonprofits which serve issues that reflect the lived experiences of our community members, which have included organizations like…
One unique aspect of Dawg Day of Service is that you can choose to meet new people OR you can choose to serve together with your roommate, residence hall floor, student organization, or even friend group!
Through the RSVP system, you can notify our team which group you’d like to serve with so you have a built-in way of getting to know your new roommate.
The best way to RSVP with a group is by choosing a shared name, like “Creswell 8A” or “Bolton Bulldogs.” Get creative! Just make sure everyone submits using the same group name.
Loved volunteering in our community and want to get involved? Serve UGA hosts 30+ service sites each semester with 9 partner nonprofits to help you get connected with volunteer opportunities.
