The Student Engagement Awards celebrate the accomplishments of student leaders and student organizations at the University of Georgia
UGA Student Affairs’ Department of Engagement, Leadership, and Service (ELS) announces it has awarded scholarships totaling over $75,000 for the 2023-2024 academic year. With these scholarships, ELS hopes to reduce financial barriers that hinder student success and engagement.
As part of their new Women and Leadership Initiative, Engagement, Leadership, and Service (ELS) hosted the inaugural Women in Leadership Networking Dinner.
Sarah Park entered the Miss UGA Competition intending to gain new experience and win the competition’s scholarship. Park not only walked away with the Miss UGA 2023 crown, but she also discovered newfound potential to use her voice for good.
The following University of Georgia students have been named 2022 recipients of the Dawn D. Bennett-Alexander Building Bridges Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to students who exhibit excellence in their commitment to diversity and inclusion efforts on campus. 
Tanner Nelson, a first-year student from Columbus, has been named the 2022 Bradley-Turner Leadership Scholar at the University of Georgia. The scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding students who exhibit superior leadership capabilities while in high school and who aspire to be student leaders at UGA.
