COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

BE AN ACTIVE LEADER FOR POSITIVE CHANGE

CREATE A POSITIVE CHANGE

Support the communities you live in through direct volunteer service, advocacy, and leading others to create positive change.  Explore our programs created to connect UGA students with the greater Athens community through engaging in meaningful civic engagement and service experiences. Dawg Day of Service, IMPACT Service Breaks, and Serve UGA each offer engagement opportunities for students like you to learn how social issues impact our surrounding community.

DAWG DAY OF SERVICE

Dawg Day of Service is UGA’s largest day of service, where you can serve and engage with nonprofits from Athens-Clarke County, Madison County, and Oconee County to work together with local community organizations to create a better future.

IMPACT SERVICE BREAKS

Each Fall and Spring Break, UGA students travel to locations across the Southeastern United States to learn with and work alongside organizations at the forefront of community-created solutions through the IMPACT Service Breaks program.

SERVE UGA

Building relationships among students and Athens citizens through learning, reflection and service.
